Why Macro Photography?
I like how photography allows me to slow down and really pay attention to the details of nature. How the sun plays and reveals the minute textures in a flower, reflections in a water droplet or surfaces on a leaf is the story a macro lens can help share.
As a former dentist, and being very detail oriented,this genre of photography speaks to me! Looking at a flower from many different angles and distances can influence the image you capture. Patterns in leaves, flowers, water and even insects lend themselves to the macro world. How often we walk by this world and not notice this dimension of our everyday world.
