The Ellora Caves are a UNESCO World Heritage site featuring 34 monasteries and temples carved directly into a basalt cliff between 600 and 950 AD. There are many intricate rock sculptures, pillars and structural designs that represent Buddhist, Hindu and Jain faiths.
