The Masai giraffe is the largest subspecies of giraffe native to East Africa. They have large-like spots that extend down to its hooves. They live in savannas and woodlands feeding on leaves, twigs and fruits. Their eyelashes can be up to 3 inches long primarily to protect their eyes from the harsh African savanna climate and thorny acacia branches.
