Title

The wild horses of Corolla, North Carolina are believed to be descendants of Spanish mustangs from the 1500's. The herd numbers around 120 and they live to around 20 -25 years. They can usually be seen in the early mornings and late afternoons when they return from the forest, through the sand dunes and to the beach. They roam freely in northern Corolla and Carova in areas accessible only by 4-wheel drive vehicles.
