Corolla Wild Horses

Title

The wild horses of the Outer Banks in Corolla are known as Banker Horses. They are descendants of Spanish mustangs from the 1500's. The horses roam freely over the dunes and beach in areas only accessible by 4- wheel drive. People are advised to  stay 50 feet away from them and to not feed them as they feed mainly on the vegetation in the forest and on the dunes.
