Waterfall in Patagonia

Title

Patagonia is home to many waterfalls and glacial lakes. A glacial period began about one million years ago and most of Patagonia was covered with ice. With erosion deep valleys were excavated and at the end of the last ice age (14,000 years ago), the ice retreated and the enormous depressions were filled with water. The water in these lakes and rivers are extremely clean - almost distilled and of very low salinity and hardness.
